Intracranial Hemorrhage in the Full-Term Infants

Abstract
Intracranial hemorrhage rarely occurs in the full-term neonate without predisposing factors such as perinatal trauma, hypoxia, or bleeding tendencies. But focal cerebrovascular accidents including intracranial hemorrhage can be detected through
the
use
of brain imaging techniques such as computerized tomography and cranial sonography.
The study population comprised 8 term neonated admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care unit of Seoul Red Cross Hospital between 1989 and 1993, in whom ICH was diagnosed by computerized tomography. The author analyzed the clinical characteristics
and
neurodevelopmental outcome.
@ES The result was followings:
@EN 1) the most common delivery type is spontaneous vaginal delivery in 4 cases, and vacuum extraction (2 cases), cesarean section, and breech delivery were followed.
